There are no cookies on this site
The Pets site installs no cookies and carries no advertising pixels. The only thing it loads from outside its own domain is the visit counter on the home page, which runs on a server of ours (explained under «Visit measurement»). It stores one single thing, and it is not a cookie:
| What is stored | What for | How long it lasts | Do we need your permission? |
|---|---|---|---|
| The language you chose | showing you the site in that language the next time you visit | in your browser, until you delete it | No, it is essential for this to work |
What you search for and the filters you set are not stored anywhere: they live in the browser's memory while you have the tab open and disappear on reload.
On the shelters' dashboard
The dashboard uses the storage shared by every dashboard on the platform:
| What is stored | What for | How long it lasts | Do we need your permission? |
|---|---|---|---|
| What keeps you signed in without retyping your password | not asking you for your password on every page | in your browser, until you delete it; it stops working when you sign out, and in any case after seven days unused | No, it is essential for this to work |
| Which shelter you are working with | showing you that shelter's data and not another's | in your browser, until you delete it | No, it is essential for this to work |
| The language you chose | showing you the dashboard in that language | in your browser, until you delete it | No, it is essential for this to work |
| The look you chose (light or dark) and whether you left the side menu collapsed | opening the dashboard the way you left it | in your browser, until you delete it | No, it is essential for this to work |
| A single-use item that completes the sign-in and is deleted as soon as it finishes | letting you sign in with your platform account | in your browser, only while you have the tab open; in practice, the seconds the sign-in takes | No, it is essential for this to work |
| Whether you left the assistant open or closed | opening it the way you left it | in your browser, until you delete it | No, it is essential for this to work |
| The filters you left set on a table | not making you set them again | in your browser, until you delete it | No, it is essential for this to work |
On entering the dashboard you pass through the platform's sign-in screen, which has its own cookie policy.
In the phone application
An application does not use cookies. The Pets one stores in the phone's secure store what keeps your session open, the language, the look and which notifications you have already seen. It is deleted when you sign out or uninstall it. The privacy policy explains it.
Visit measurement
We count how many times each page of the public home page is viewed with a program of ours, called Umami, running on our own server (stats.profblu.com). It leaves neither a cookie nor an identifier in your browser, so it stores nothing of yours and does not allow reconstructing a specific person's path: only aggregate figures per page.
The shelters' dashboard and the phone application are not measured. There is no Google Analytics and no Google Tag Manager on any Pets web page.
Why we do not ask for your consent
Everything above is what is strictly necessary to provide you a service you yourself have requested: remembering your language, keeping your session, knowing which shelter you are working with or measuring visits without cookies or identifiers. It is exactly what article 22.2 of Spain's LSSI exempts and, in Italy, article 122 of the Codice in materia di protezione dei dati personali.
How to delete it
From your browser's settings, like any other local data. Keep in mind that deleting what keeps the session open signs you out.
Technical detail, if you want it
If you want to find each item in your browser and delete them one by one, these are the exact names they are stored under:

admin-pets.admin.rt (localStorage) | what keeps the dashboard's session open |
admin-pets.admin.org (localStorage) | which shelter you are working with |
pets.admin.lang (localStorage) | the language you chose in the dashboard |
@prosecco/admin-shell.theme, @prosecco/admin-shell.sidebar (localStorage) | the light or dark look and the side menu |
identity.pending-authorization (sessionStorage) | the single-use item that completes the sign-in on the dashboard |
prosecco.kitten.dock-collapsed.pets (localStorage) | whether you left the assistant open or closed |
pets.*.filters, one per table (localStorage) | the filters you left set |
